Normand Roy, Ph.D., is a professor in the Department of Psychopedagogy and Andragogy at the Université de Montréal. He is passionate about the use of technology in education. His main research interests are emerging technologies (virtual reality, creative labs, robotics, video games, etc.) and the place of digital technology in society (artificial intelligence, open educational resources).

He constantly seeks to understand the pedagogical potential of digital technology and the conditions needed to implement it in education. He is also interested in distance education, both in schools and in higher education.
