Óscar Espinoza Díaz

Full academic in the Department of Education at the Universidad de Tarapacá, Chile. Coordinator of the Equity and Quality in Higher Education area at IESED-Chile.

Ed.D. in Policy, Planning and Evaluation Education, University of Pittsburgh, United States. Full professor in the Faculty of Education and Humanities at the Universidad de Tarapacá and researcher at the Inter-University Institute for Educational Research (IESED-Chile).

He has worked on projects and consultancies funded by a range of international agencies and institutions (including USAID, UNESCO, the World Bank, UNDP, the Ford Foundation, Fundación Equitas and the Organization of Ibero-American States) and by national ones, in higher education, on equity, social mobility, quality assurance, planning, labour market integration, educational and professional pathways, public policy and comparative education.

He currently contributes as an expert and belongs to, among others, the following scientific networks: Red Iberoamericana de Indicadores de Educación Superior (Red IndicES), Red Iberoamericana de Ciencia y Tecnología (RICYT), Red Latinoamericana de Epistemología en Políticas Educativas (RELEPE) and Red de Investigadores de Europa y América Latina en Políticas Educativas (RIAIPE).

Author of numerous publications, including 12 books, 70 book chapters and 165 articles.
