Silvia Mirlene Nakano Koga

Doctoral candidate in Educational Sciences, Université de Montréal, Canada.

Silvia (Tamy) Nakano holds a degree in Educational Sciences and a Magister Scientiarum in Public Administration from the Universidad de Buenos Aires, and is currently completing her doctorate in Educational Sciences at the Université de Montréal (UdeM). In her doctoral thesis, supervised by Olivier Bégin-Caouette and Martial Dembélé, she carried out a comparative study of the coordination of university research in two federal countries (Argentina and Canada). Beyond the coordination and governance of higher education systems, her research interests include university research production, the university teaching body and academic work, which she addresses in conferences, articles and book chapters in French, English and Spanish, in Canada and internationally. Tamy has taught several higher education courses at the UdeM. She has also helped organise academic events at the UdeM Faculty of Educational Sciences and at LIRES, among them the doctoral schools in Higher Education with the Universidad de Guadalajara in Montreal (2019) and the ESIES in San José, Costa Rica (2025).
