María Verónica Díaz Quezada

Full academic in the Department of Exact Sciences at the Universidad de Los Lagos, Chile. Associate researcher at IESED-Chile.

Her research focuses on mathematics teacher training, gender equity in higher education, the didactics of mathematics and quality assurance. She has published in international journals on professional competences in mathematics, pedagogical innovation and collaborative learning strategies. She has also run advanced training workshops on qualitative data analysis and applications of artificial intelligence for teachers.

In advanced training, she has taught on undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, supervised master’s and doctoral theses, and organised international gatherings of student teachers. Her work combines research with academic management, contributing evidence for the design of educational policy and the improvement of teacher training in Chile and Latin America.
